Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Divvy It Up ("we", "us", or "our") operates the divvy-it-up.com website and the Divvy It Up application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and authentication credentials (managed through Auth0). If you sign in via a social provider (e.g., Google), we receive the profile information you authorize.
Organization Data
When you create or join an organization, we store the organization name, URL slug, team member relationships, roles, service types, and any branding information (logo, description) you provide.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, timestamps, and device information (browser type, operating system).
Client and Lead Data
Data entered about your clients, locations, tasks, and leads (both internal and from the public lead form) is stored to provide the Service's functionality.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- To manage your account and organization membership
- To send you service-related communications (invitations, notifications)
- To process and display data you enter (clients, tasks, leads)
- To monitor usage patterns and improve performance
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or security threats
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Service providers that help us operate the platform (hosting, authentication, email delivery), under strict data processing agreements.
- Your organization — other members of your organization can see relevant data based on their role and permissions.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, subpoena, or legal process.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Auth0 may set cookies to manage your authentication session.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Organization data is retained for the lifetime of the organization. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
Deactivated or removed team members are soft-deleted — their membership record is preserved for audit history, but their personal access is revoked.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), secure authentication via Auth0, and access controls on our infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@divvy-it-up.com.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
